We welcome The Reverend Timothy W. Spring as the new Lutheran Campus Pastor at Montana State University, Bozeman.  Tim began his freshman year as Campus Pastor in mid August of '02.  Born and raised in Pennsylvania, he’s spent most of his life on the East Coast, except for a year as a wrangler on a cattle ranch in Eastern Wyoming.  His formal education includes a B.A. in Philosophy from Pennsylvania State University and a M.Div. from Yale University Divinity School.  Tim interned with the Lutheran Campus Ministry at Penn State. 

First Call to parish ministry was as pastor at Zion’s Lutheran Church, Trevorton and St. Peter’s Lutheran/UCC Church, West Cameron. Pennsylvania.  For the last ten years he has been Associate Pastor in Hampton, Virginia at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.  During the summer of 2000, Tim provided worship leadership and pastoral care as a part of the Wittenberg English Ministry in the historic town of  Wittenberg, Germany. 

Involvement in the community and wider church during his years of parish ministry have included prison ministry, campus ministry, ecumenical agencies to assist the hungry, homeless, and those in need, Red Cross, and youth ministry.  An area of special interest is theology and the arts. Tim and his wife, Pam, have two daughters: Hilary (18), snowboarder and a high school senior, and
Bethany (13), skier, soccer player, and aspiring actress.

Tim enjoys skiing, hiking, travel, spending time with his family, good books, good films, and good conversation.   Stop by the Christus Collegium and meet him.
